Exciting cultural activities

During this July, cultural activities have been organized at many places within the province to celebrating the 67th War Invalids – Martyrs’ Day (July 27th 1947 – July 27th 2014). To review glorious history of the nation, and for Vietnamese young generation to be proud and respect great sacrifices of ancestors, Binh Duong Television hosted the program Southern Melody with the theme “Emotions in July” in the evening of 25th July at Thanh Le Park Theatre. Due to elaborate and careful preparation, cultural events celebrating the 67th War Invalids 0 Martyrs’ Day in the province were special and meaningful. According to the organizers, the event was arranged elaborately and consisted of two parts: Part 1 named “Drinking water, remember its source” included songs expressing gratitude to heroes, Vietnamese heroic mothers; special performances about homeland islands, praising navy soldiers fighting for our fatherland. Part 2 named “Summer of love” comprised gentle songs about school age, couple love and patriotism. On 25th J July, provincial Culture- Movies Center organized a special cultural event. Through this event, audiences could learn about Vietnamese island sovereignty at the exhibition “Books, magazines about Truong Sa and Hoang Sa”, enjoy songs praising revolutionary tradition, Vietnamese islands. Celebrating the 15th reestablishment day of Di An district (now Di An town), local Culture Information – Sport Center (CISC) organized a contest of artistic news photo and songs commending Di An’s land and people. After 3 months, 600 photos and 12 songs were sent to the contest. The award ceremony took place in the morning of 25th July at local CISC. On the same day, to welcome the 67th War Invalids – Martyrs’ Day and the 85th Vietnamese Trade Union’s foundation day, Phu Loi ward People’s Committee Trade Union organized a karaoke contest.
