First private aquaculture research institute opened in Vietnam

The Binh An Aquaculture Research Institute, the first private research institute of its kind in Viet Nam, opened in Can Tho City on July 30.

 

The Institute will research, develop, and apply new technologies in genetics, breeding and animal food production that meet international breeding, processing and export products.

 

It will also build long-term strategic marketing plans for the aquaculture sector, develop distribution chains, especially in foreign markets, build advanced management models, and create value chains for aquatic products.

 

In addition, the institute will help businesses and breeders develop e-commerce and apply advanced technologies, contributing to the sustainable development of the sector.

 

The Ministry of Science and Technology has given the private institute VND2.5 billion for staff training, consultancy services, and technology transfer.
