“Five-goods” student campaign with in-depth development

Provincial Student Association has just awarded the title of “five-goods” student and the award of “Star of January” to students who have gained excellent achievements in study and enthusiastic in activities of the Youth Union in the 2012 and 2013 academic year. They deserve to be representatives of Binh Duong’s young generation.

Academic Accomplishment, Physical Fitness, Moral Courage, Integration Competence and Skillful Acquisition are the 5 criteria for the title “Sinh viên 5 tốt” (“five-goods” student). To achieve this noble title, they are all-around excellent students.

Pham Huu Thanh, a second-year student of the informatics faculty at TDM University is one of “five-goods” students just honored by provincial Student Association. Thanh said that he has set up a concrete plan for his study right from entering the university and has been determined to do it. In the first academic year, he excellently got the tile of being a good student with the average total score of 8.03 and received a full scholarship of Aptech for international network administration. He also actively got involved in volunteer movements launched by the school.

Other “five-goods” student Ma Que Phuong, from TDM University, said: “I feel very happy when being awarded this noble title. This is actually a nice memory of my period at university and is seen as a motivation for my study”. It is known that Phuong has a passion for sports, especially Karatedo. With his own efforts, he excellently won many considerable prizes in this event, including silver medal at the 8th National Professional Karatedo tournament for Students, third prize at the 2nd Thuan An Open Karatedo competition…

Over the past time, provincial Youth Union and the Student Associations of universities in the province constantly concretized the “five-goods” student campaign by replicating exemplary role-models, increasing special subjects and measures to create learning motivations among students; grasping students’ demand…, helping them fully uphold their ability.

Not only being title

Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of provincial Youth Union cum Chairwoman of provincial Student Association said that the “five-goods” student campaign has got development in depth and lured the attention of a large number of students. Realizing the value of the campaign, students have tried their best for all-round development. Hence, there has been an increase in the number of winning the title “five-goods” student.

This noble title is also seen as a great honor for students to be able to more confident to life. “Five-goods” student Tran Thai Phung said: The title “Five-goods” student has helped her get more confident and is also a motivation for me to overcome challenges.

Reportedly, the whole province last year had 1 student awarded the award “Star of January”, 3 students with the title “Five-goods” student at central level, 21 students with the title “Five-goods” student at provincial level.
