Get-together marking Vietnamese Cooperative Day held

Early April 11, provincial Cooperative Alliance held a get-together to mark Vietnamese Cooperative Day and the 71^st anniversary of the day Uncle Ho calling for joining cooperatives (April 11, 1946-April 11, 2017). Attending the event were Tran Van Thay, Chairman of provincial Cooperative Alliance together with all staff of units under provincial Cooperative Alliance.

At the get-together, Nguyen Thanh Son, Vice-Chairman of provincial Cooperative Alliance said that the province’s cooperative economy has reached encouraging development steps. So far, the whole province has had a total of 223 cooperatives with 56,539 members and total chartered capital of more than VND586billion. These cooperatives mainly operate in the fields of agriculture, home industry, transport, trade-services… The average profit of a cooperative is estimated at VND360million a year; the average income of members is VND60million per year per person.

Mr.Thay also called for all staff of provincial Cooperative Alliance to make more efforts while saying that the alliance will further disseminate policies on cooperative development specified in the Resolution of the 5^th session of the 11^th Party Central Committee and the Resolution of the 7^th session of the 10^th Party Central Committee on agriculture, farmers and rural areas; the Politburo’s Conclusion No.56 on accelerating the implementation of the Resolution of the 5^th session of the 9^th Party Central Committee on further improving the effectiveness of collective economy.
