Healthcare seminar held for Vietnamese in Russia

A seminar was held in Moscow on December 7 to equip Vietnamese nationals residing in Russia with basic medical knowledge to protect themselves from local extreme weather. The gathering was attended by doctors, medical experts and students from Moscow-based universities and colleges of medicine and pharmaceuticals. Presentations were focused on public healthcare services and traditional Vietnamese medical practice and treatments, aimed at improving health conditions for Vietnamese people in Russia. Herbalist Tran Quoc Trung and doctor Phan Tuyet Hang, Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Association of Medicine and Pharmacy in Russia, introduced new acupuncture techniques and herbal medicines to treat common complaints such as headache and backache as well as a number of chronic, incurable illnesses. The event was co-organised by the Vietnam Science and Technology Association and the Vietnamese Association of Medicine and Pharmacy in Russia. VOV
