Requirement and quality of vocational training satisfied

Binh Duong Intermediate Vocational School is the state-run school under management of the provincial department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. Since its inception, the school has trained tens of thousands of skilled laborers, satisfying the local demand on socio-economic development.

The school’s advantage is to cooperate with businesses to train jobs on orders and to offer manpower for businesses and simultaneously link with universities inside and outside the province to develop technology and hi-technology.

During the process of training, the school always attaches theory to practice. Phinh said “Our school always focuses on vocational training in combination with practical demand and job introduction to meet job demand for laborers”.

Regarding condition and quality of learning at the school, learners said “Learning at the school, we enjoy practical periods with advanced equipments. Therefore, we feel confident in our skills”. Investing in key trades is an urgent work

Quality of vocational training at Binh Duong Vocational Intermediate School has met requirements of improving local quality of human resources. Nevertheless, equipments in service for vocational training at the school were installed since tens of previous years, so they can not cater for key vocational training.

To solve this status, the school has timely mapped out and ratified a project of key vocational training for the period of 2011-2015 for civil electronics major. The project was approved by the provincial People’s Committee in line with Decision No. 1982/QD-UBND.

Based on the project, civil electronics industry is really a key and highlighted trade in this school. Therefore, the school has to invest equipments in conformity with real production.

Teacher Phinh pointed out some the school’s goals including investments in material facilities, syllabi, professional training for teachers and many more. The school has targeted to train 1,636 learners in 2015, 150 of whom are for civil electronics industry.

In order to meet this requirement, the school will build 22 practical workshops and 5 training rooms, purchase office equipments and other facilities in service for civil electronics major. The total capital of the project will be estimated at around VND40bil, VND22.357bil of which is from the provincial budget.

With the strategy of long-term vocational training plus such thorough preparation plan, Binh Duong Vocational Intermediate School will continue winning breakthroughs to become one of the national standard vocational schools, satisfying the local requirements on human resources quality.
