Lai Ly Huynh of Binh Duong attends 2016 WMSG

Lai Ly Huynh of Binh Duong is the only male Xiangqi (Chinese chess) player representing Vietnam to attend the 2016 World Mind Sports Games (WMSG) which is taking place in China’s Hoai An city.

Beginning from Feb.26 to Mar.3, the 2016 WMSG includes five events with the participation of more than 200 athletes from 40 countries and territories. For Xiangqi, there are 12 players (8 male, 4 female). Eight male players comprise of Trinh Duy Dong, Ta Tinh of China; Ly Cam Hoan, Tao Nham Loi of Macao; Tiet Ham De of Germany; Lai Ly Huynh of Vietnam; Trang Hoang Minh of Philippines; Hoang Hoc Khiem of Hongkong. They will play a round robin to select the winner under the Swiss system.

Four female players are Vuong Lam Na of China, Gia Dan of the U.S, Ho Thi Thanh Hong of Vietnam and Du Hieu Lan of Holland. As of late Feb.28, Lai Ly Huynh fulfilled his 3 games with 2 in draw  and 1 in victory.
