Looking back the 2-year implementation of hi-quality service development program

After over 2 years, quality of service in Binh Duong has showed an encouraging development. However, at the 46th session of the provincial People’s Committee, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung assessed that local service industry remains difficulties and shortcomings and steered local sectors and agencies to spur measures for development.

Recognizing shortcomings

Under the timely instruction of the provincial party committee, all level agencies and sectors have profoundly realized and launched well implementation of program of developing hi-quality service for the 2011-2015 period and vision 2020. With the well-invested infrastructure system, businesses inside and outside of the province have bravely invested in service industry. Hi-unity and responsibility between all level authorities and businesses in developing service, especially hi-quality service has won faith of customers at local and neighboring areas.

The provincial People's Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung assessed that after over 2 years of implementing the program, local service industry has been constantly developed, contributing to local socio-economic development and national security. However, owing to common difficulties, high quality service sector remains at low density. Some fields have yet to meet local demand on development such as house for low incomers, package logistics, technology transfer, vocational training for workers with high skills and so on.

Service infrastructure remains shortcomings, connection between ecological tourism and historic tourism remains weak. Services of hotel, restaurant, healthcare and high achievement sport remain limited. Service of accommodation exists problems. Some sectors and localities have yet to pay much attention to developing high quality service.

In addition, incentive policies of capital, land, planning, manpower training have yet to be launched for rural areas. Logistics has lacked connection with local and foreign businesses.

Creating new breakthroughs

With the assessed shortcomings, the provincial People's Committee has set out key tasks, requiring all level sectors and agencies to focus on in the coming time. Accordingly, the locality will focus on developing strongly quality and efficiency of financial, banking, insurance services as well as high quality services of insurance, agriculture and healthcare responsibility. Besides, the locality will pay much attention to upgrading and newly building trade centers, supermarkets, rural markets in attachment to development of industrial parks, residential areas, meeting demand on production and consumption in conformity with people in rural and urban areas.

In order to develop service sustainably,  the provincial People's Committee has set out measures of developing technical and social infrastructure facilities, spurred progress of ports, warehouses as well as urged investment in strategic ports and warehouses in service for industrial and urban development.

Additionally, the locality will focus on strongly developing social housing projects for low incomers, accelerating construction of clinics, vocational schools and standard schools, socializing education and training, spurring investment appeal and many more.

After more than 2 years of implementing the program of high quality service, Binh Duong provincial administration has made breakthroughs on all areas of finance, banking, insurance, trade, tourism, import-export, transport traffic, logistics, telecommunications, education, healthcare, accommodation and other services.

With the breakthrough development, the local service field has contributed positively to integration process. It is hoped that Binh Duong will have new breakthroughs, connecting with the world, improving its competitive capacity as well as helping the locality become the industrial standard province by 2020.
