Ly Hoang Nam (Binh Duong) wins runner-up of F3 Futures India International Tennis Championship 2018

During last week, Vietnam's No. 1 tennis player, Ly Hoang Nam (Becamex Binh Duong) competed in the final of F3 Futures Indian International Tennis Championship 2018 with Prajnesh Gunneswaran from the host, India. The Indian player is also No. 1 seed of the tournament, has a much higher rank than Nam. Prajnesh Gunneswaran is ranked 235th of ATP, while Binh Duong's athlete is ranked 475th ATP, thus victory was predicted to favor the host.

However, tennis fans of Vietnam still hoped Hoang Nam would have a entrancing match, do an astonishing feat. But that could not happen, Prajnesh Gunneswaran won the first match and scored 6/3. On the second game, despite Hoang Nam played very well, scored 3/3 and 4/5, he lost 4/6, final score 0-2, received the runner-up. This title will help Hoang Nam accumulate 10 points on the ATP World Ranking.

On March 19, Hoang Nam continued to compete in F4 Futures Indian Professional Tennis from 19 to 25 March. Hoang Nam is ranked No. 2 seed, up one level compared with the F3.
