In order to meet the needs of entertainment and spiritual cultural enjoyment of people from all strata, province-based cultural units have set up plans to organize activities on propaganda, culture and tourism on the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022. Cultural and artistic activities in celebration of the Party and spring this year are carried out in various forms under the conditions of ensuring safety for Covid-19 prevention and control, thereby contributing to creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere in the early spring.

Diversified activities

According to provincial People's Committee’s plan to organize activities to celebrate great holidays and activities to serve the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022, activities on propaganda, culture, and sports on the occasion of the 92nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the celebration of the Tet this year are held in January and February. Accordingly, based on their actual situation, the non-business units of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Divisions of Culture - Information, the Centers for Culture, Sports and Radio, the Centers from Culture, Information and Sports from districts, towns and cities will organize visual propaganda activities on roads, administrative centers, densely populated areas. Along with that, the units will organize exhibitions on photos, books, e-news-letters, cultural, artistic and sports programs...to serve the needs of the people.

Nguyen Van Hue, Director of provincial Library said that under the direction of provincial People's Committee, the unit has also set up a plan to organize the Spring Newspaper Festival 2022. This is an annual activity of the cultural sector in general, provincial Library in particular to create a joyful and excited atmosphere in celebration of the Party, the Lunar New Year, create a space for people to travel on the occasion of the Vietnamese Tet (Lunar New Year) festival; contribute to propagandizing the Party's guidelines, achievements on politics, economy, socio-culture, national defense - security of the whole country and the province in 2021 through special spring printed matters. Provincial Library will closely coordinate with relevant units, ensuring safety in Covid-19 prevention and control, security and order, environmental sanitation…

As part of a series of events during the Tet festival 2022, provincial Museum will also organize an exhibition in celebration of the Party and the Lunar New Year with the theme of "25 years, Binh Duong on the way of integration and development from 1997-2022". Provincial Museum's facilities are being upgraded, so the unit will organize exhibitive activities in the local cultural sector’s communal cultural space in celebration of the Party and the spring at the new city park from January 31 to February 6.

Le Van Phuoc, Director of provincial Museum said that the exhibition will display 62 pictures, 2 excerpts together with objects in order to introduce achievements of the Party, government and people of Binh Duong province on the way of integration and development in the period of 1997-2022, the local typical achievements on economy, culture, society, national defense - security in recent years to visitors.

Creating a joyful destination

Upholding its results from previous years, provincial Tourism Promotion Center will organize the "Binh Duong Spring Tour" program for the Tet festival 2022 to popularize the local destinations as well as tourist products to visitors in and out of the province. Accordingly, the center will organize 2 booths to serve visitors’ needs of finding out information at the new city park from January 29 to February 5.

Pham Hong Thi, Deputy Director of provincial Tourism Promotion Center said that the program aims to create more interesting destinations for locals and tourists near and far during the Tet festival 2022. In addition to the space providing information on the local tourism, products from typical traditional craft villages, the unit has also compiled, designed and printed "Binh Duong Spring Tour" publications introducing the local spring enjoying spots, spring activities organized by travel units during and after the Tet festival 2022...In addition, there are many auxiliary activities such as drawing and coloring Binh Duong tourist destinations on wood, piggy banks, blowing bubbles, drawing Henna...to serve visitors every night during the Tet festival.

Along with activities being implemented by units under provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism at people’s needs for entertainment on the occasion of the new spring, localities are also urgently implemented propaganda and decoration on streets. Cultural and artistic programs to serve people during Tet are also set up by functional units.

According to the plan, this year's Spring Newspaper Festival will be held in an open space along with the province's spring celebrations at the new city park from January 29 to February 5 (from January 29 to February 5 of lunar calendar). Along with central, local spring newspapers together with spring publications of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, this year's Spring Newspaper Festival will display 1,000 copies of books on topics about the Party, Uncle Ho, spring, traditional Tet, Vietnamese culture, new books in various fields, the 1968 General Offensive and Uprising; models on books in celebration of Binh Duong's 25th anniversary of construction and development...
