Mid-autumn activities for children held across the province

Many significant activities have been organized across the province to help all children enjoy a happy mid-autumn festival.

Provincial Cultural House for Children organized the 2013 full-moon festival for the local children on the evening of September 18. Coming to the festival, the local children together with those from aptitude clubs and groups from provincial Cultural House had a chance to enjoy a happy mid-autumn festival with many exciting activities such as unicorn-lion and dragon dances, a lantern parade, folk games…

* Thuan An town’s Youth Union also held the 2013 mid-autumn festival at the embankment of Lai Thieu on the evening of September 18 with a wide range of fun-filled activities, including a lantern design competition with the participation of 28 schools, a lantern parade with the participation of 10 communes and wards, folk games, art performance items… 

*The full-moon night was the theme of a special art performance organized by Thuan An town’s Center for Culture, Information and Sports at Hung Dinh communal People’s Committee on the evening of September 19.

Coming to the music program, the local children had a chance to enjoy jubilant singing and dancing items performed by the children’s art troupe from Thuan An town’s Center for Culture, Information and Sports together with many other attractive unicorn-lion and dragon dances. On this occasion, Hung Dinh communal People’s Committee presented 800 gifts to participating children.

It is expected that Binh Hoa ward’s People’s Committee will also present 1,000 mid-autumn gifts, including confectionary and lanterns, to the local children during the 2013 mid-autumn festival of the ward to be organized on the evening of September 19.

*A program called “Enjoying mid-autumn festival” was also held at An Phu ward’s Cultural Center in Thuan An town.

The program included a series of exciting and significant activities such as a lantern design competition, art performance items and more. The organizers also donated 102 gifts to children with extremely difficult circumstance…

*The Youth Union of Phu Cuong ward in TDM city has just organized an art performance named “Remember Uncle Ho on the occasion of Mid-Autumn festival” and “Procession at full-noon night”.

Coming to the event, the local children had a chance to enjoy art performance items on Uncle Ho and mid-autumn festival. The Youth Union also awarded 30 “Lightening up children’s dreams” scholarships, comprising of lanterns, moon cakes and notebooks, to poor pupils with outstanding academic performance. In addition, Dong A Bank awarded 10 scholarships worth VND1mln each plus a schoolbag for children with difficulties.

*Dau Tieng district’s Youth Union held a program called “Enjoying mid-autumn festival” on the evening of September 17.

With music items performed by art troupes from Son Ca preschool and junior high schools across the district, the program brought the local children a happy mid-autumn festival with many fun-filled activities such as lantern design contests, art performance items…

*On the occasion of the 2013 mid-autumn festival, provincial Sponsoring Association for Disable People, Orphans and Poor Patients mobilized P&G Company and A Chau Bank to present 300 gifts worth VND100,000 each, including lanterns, confectionary and notebooks, to children with extremely difficult circumstance in Thuan An town and Phu Giao district’s Phuoc Hoa commune.

*Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just organized  a program called “Full-moon night festival” for more than 100 children who are the offspring of the sector’s staff.

During the program, these children were presented moon cakes, took part in contests and enjoyed unicorn-lion and dragon dances. The organizers also honored and offered awards worth VND200,000 each for 40 outstanding pupils in the 2012-2013 academic year.

*The Youth Union of Lai Uyen commune in Ben Cat district held mid-autumn festivals in three places, including one preschool and two primary schools, for the local children on September 18 and 19.

The local children had a chance to sing songs on mid-autumn festival together, take part in lantern design contests and folk games. On this occasion, the organizers also presented mid-autumn gifts, including confectionary and lanterns, to 1,300 local children with a total expense of VND21mln.
