Vietnam will help improve the capacity of Lao judges and provide the Lao court system with working equipment and information technology skills, according to an agreement signed in Hanoi on December 9.
The two countries’ courts will also increase the exchange of delegations and the sharing of trial experience under this agreement signed by Chief Judge of the Vietnam Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh and his Lao counterpart Khamphanh Sithidampha.
At the meeting, Binh and Sithidampha briefed each other on the activities of courts in their countries.
The Chief Judge of the Laos People’s Court highlighted the assistance that the Vietnam Supreme People’s Court has given Lao courts and agreed that cooperation between the judicial branches of both countries has contributed positively to the special traditional ties of solidarity and cooperation between Laos and Vietnam
