Twenty three new caves of high scientific and aesthetic values have been discovered in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay in Quang Ninh province as a result of a survey from November 23-30.
The survey was conducted by Ha Long Bay Management Board and Vietnam Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources (VIGMR) experts.
Head of Ha Long Bay Management Board Pham Thuy Duong said the discovery will provide more data bases and tourism resources for Ha Long Bay as a contribution to management and preservation of the world’s natural heritage sites.
