North Tan Uyen district: 40 Uncle Ho’s obedient children honored

Early July 2, North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union held the first Congress of Obedient Children of Uncle Ho 2014 with the participation of 40 outstanding young pioneer members. 

During the two academic years of 2012-2013 and 2013-2014, young pioneer detachments in the district actively implemented the movements of “Friends’ embrace”, “Helping friends go to school”; collected clothes, books and notebooks for poor pupils…There were 28 scholarships and 56 gifts awarded to poor-but-excellent pupils.

The local young pioneer detachments also realized 135 “mang non” (young shoot) works. Over the past two years, there were 3,000 young pioneer members winning the title of “Obedient Children of Uncle Ho” and 280 outstanding individuals.

On this occasion, the People’s Committee of North Tan Uyen district also awarded the certificates of merit to 40 young pioneer members winning the title of “Obedient Children of Uncle Ho” and 24 outstanding individuals in Young Pioneer Organization’s activities and teenagers, children’s movements in 2014.
