Established on August 28, 2010, the association has attracted 450 Vietnamese nationals working mainly in automobile repair, Vietnamese goods sales, food and beverage services, photography, and wedding dress hire.
Their average income is US$1,000-1,500 per month, and every year OVs in Mongolia send US$2-3 million in remittances to Vietnam.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Mongolia Hoang Tuan Thinh said he was pleased to see the association receive the legal status and hoped it will help create favourable conditions for OVs to do business in Mongolia.
The Association’s president, Nguyen Huy Tuan, committed to building a stronger organization and help OVs in their daily lives.
