Over 380 poor patients under free medical check-up and treatment

Provincial General Hospital has just reviewed a program of providing free maxillo-facial surgeries for poor patients in Binh Duong by physicians from South Korea.

Accordingly, from Nov.23 to Dec.1, a delegation of physicians from South Korea, led by Prof.Jin Yooung Choi, provided free medical check-ups and surgeries for 63 poor patients at provincial General Hospital. The delegation also presented 2 dental chairs to provincial General Hospital’s maxillofacial and dental ward.

The delegation has so far implemented 17 free medical examination and surgery programs for 384 poor patients at provincial General Hospital, including 373 patients with cleft-lip and palate surgeries and 11 other cases, and donated medical equipment worth more than VND3bln to provincial General Hospital.

On behalf of provincial leaders, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Huynh Van Nhi acknowledged the delegation’s contributions to poor patients in Binh Duong over the past time while hoping that the delegation will further implement such charity programs for poor patients in Binh Duong in the coming time.

On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee awarded the certificate of merit to an individual; provincial General Hospital also awarded the certificates of merit 2 physicians of the delegation.
