A Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) delegation led by To Huy Rua, head of the CPV Organisation Commission, is paying a working visit to France from October 26-29.
At a working session with a French Communist Party (FCP) delegation on October 26, FCP Secretary Pierre Laurent, extended heartfelt condolences to the Vietnamese Party, State leaders and people over the recent passing of revered General Vo Nguyen Giap.
He briefed Rua on recent political, socio-economic situations of France and the FCP, especially FCP celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the 1973 Paris Peace Accord on ending war and restoring peace in Vietnam.
He assured his guest the FCP will do its utmost to consolidate and strengthen ties of traditional friendship and effective cooperation with the CPV.
Rua, a Politburo member and CPV Secretary, informed Laurent about Vietnam’s recent Renewal achievements and shared experience in Party building work.
He acknowledged progress in cooperation between the two parties and expressed his belief a stronger relationship between the CPV and FCP will significantly contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.
During his stay, Rua will visit and meet with Vietnamese embassy staff and representatives of Vietnamese missions in France.
