Provincial leaders receive JBIC leader

Early November 9, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation received a delegation of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), led by Hayashi Nobumitsu, Governor of the JBIC. Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice- Chairman of provincial People's Committee received the delegation.

At the reception, Mr. Loi said that for sustainable development, the province is closely following the goal of developing a green economy, circular economy, and green energy, with a focus on developing the ecosystem of green industrial parks, ensuring green growth and environmental protection. With experience and strengths in financing renewable energy and green energy development projects, JBIC may consider sponsoring renewable energy development projects in Binh Duong in the coming time. Through JBIC, Binh Duong hopes that Japanese investors will pay more attention to this field, contributing to helping the province achieve the goal of developing zero-carbon industrial parks by 2050 while accessing to capital with long-term interest rate support to serve the development of technical infrastructure and transportation infrastructure, especially the urban railway and the Trans-Asia railway passing through the province.

Provincial Party Committee Secretary hopes that many Japanese businesses will participate in urban rejuvenation projects while planning and developing the local traffic network to serve the community, gradually creating a TOD public transportation system to better serve people’s trade and travelling, gradually developing Binh Duong into a worth-living place and a good working environment for the business community and people. Provincial Party Committee Secretary emphasized that Binh Duong will create maximum conditions for Japanese businesses and investors through the introduction of JBIC to implement projects.

Mr. Hayashi Nobumitsu said that JBIC will participate in supporting new energy development projects, clean energy using gas, instead of coal generation to reduce carbon emissions. In addition, projects on wind power generation, biomass power from waste incineration, and waste treatment for power generation are also environmentally friendly trends that are being considered for funding by JBIC...
