Early March 27, provincial Party Committee Permanent Deputy Secretary Vu Minh Sang had a working session with an inspection delegation from the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), headed by VUSTA Chairman Dang Vu Minh, about the local implementation of the Resolution No.27/NQ-TW on building up intellectuals in the period of intensified national modernization and industrialization.

Under the Resolution No.27 plus the Politburo’s Instruction No.42/CT-TW on further improving the operational effectiveness of VUSTA in the period of intensified national modernization and industrialization, provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations (USTA) has reached development in both quality and quantity. So far, provincial USTA has developed around 13,500 members while well realizing its functions and tasks in gathering, unitizing intellectuals across the province to get involved in sci-tech development, etc.

Mr.Vu spoke highly of the local Party and government’s attention to implementing the above resolution and promoting human resources in this field. But, according to him, the province needs to take more measures to enhance the operational effectiveness of the local USTA in the coming time.
