Di An town’s Youth Union has over time excelled at implementing a program named “Accompanying youths”. The success of the program has contributed to building up a young generation in the new age.

Realizing that study is key to youths’ success, Di An town’s Youth Union has implemented a series of studying and training activities for the local youths. Especially, many study models have been promoted among pupils and students at town-based schools. The programs on career consultancy and orientation during the annual exam seasons have also helped the local pupils and students have better orientations about their study.

In addition, the local Youth Union cadres have actively mobilized the local youths to study, especially in information technology and foreign languages, aiming to improving their integration ability. The contest of “One creativeness only needed” and “Young technical creativeness” is a golden opportunity for the local youths to express their talent and creativeness.

Di An town’s Youth Union has also paid attention to organizing cultural and sports activities for youths, contributing to making useful playgrounds for them and promoting the local mass art performance movement.

Career and employment

Di An town’s Youth Union have flexibly coordinated with sectors and mass organizations to excel at giving vocational training and consultancy for the local youths and providing them with loans to develop homebased business, contributing to stabilizing their lives.

The local Youth Union has also teamed up with the local Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, vocational colleges and junior colleges to give vocational training for the local youths while introducing jobs to them.

Moreover, Di An town’s Youth Federation and its affiliates have guided the local youths to set up clubs on careers of repairing motorbikes, breeding crickets, growing ornamental trees, cooking…The local Youth Union has also given vocational training and jobs for immigrant youths and demobees.

The local Youth Union last year joined hands with sectors and mass organizations to take measures on poverty alleviation in a synchronous way and offer help to the local households near poverty; guide the local poor youths to get loans in economic development; introduce jobs to the local poor laborers and demobees. Especially, the local Youth Union worked with the local Fatherland Front Committee to build a charity house for a poor youth in Tan Binh ward with a total expense of more than VND30mln; provided free medical check-ups, medicine and health insurance cards for the offspring of young workers…

Nguyen Thi My Hanh, Secretary of Di An town’s Youth Union affirmed that the “Accompanying youths” program has not only provided the local youths with social skills, but also given them a firm base of knowledge, helping them have good jobs to be able to build a happy and civilize life.
