To create healthy and useful playgrounds for students in summer 2011 and offer chances on exchange for students, Tan Uyen district library has held many summer activities through contests, book fairs. Accordingly, the library in cooperation with the district Youth Union, local education and training sector successfully held a 9th drawing contest with the participation of 251 students from 30 local primary, secondary and high schools. As a result, the organizing board selected 80 excellent students to prepare for the 2nd provincial children fine art award 2011. Finally, the district won 28 prizes. Tan Uyen district library lures numerous students.

In cooperation with the district Youth Union, the district Education and Training Department organized a contest of “Telling stories and book promulgation” with the participation of 70 items from 114 participants from 20 local communes and townships. As a result, the organizing board granted 42 prizes for excellent contestants. At the contest, participants received 150 gift packages sponsored by Thang Long Bookstore and over 1,000 game tickets of Quynh Anh children entertainment area in the district.

In addition, the library cooperated with the local Youth Union to hold a contest of “Book promulgation and Tan Uyen children”. The contest lured 100 participants from 18 local commune and township units. As a result, the organizing board donated 22 prizes for outstanding units and selected 4 best units to join in a provincial contest. Especially, in summer 2011, the district library served summer book for 10 local primary schools with the participation of more than 3,000 pupils.
