Tet gifts presented to policy beneficiaries, the poor, religious dignitaries

In response to the 2015 “Tet for the Poor and Agent Orange victims” movement launched by the Central Committee of Vietnam Red Cross Society, provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels have mobilized members, volunteers, donors and businesses in and out of the province to present 35,882 gifts worth nearly VND11bln to the poor, the disabled, Agent Orange victims and children with difficult circumstances in and out of the province.

The association has also mobilized donors to build 5 “red cross” houses for those in need of housing.

*Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company has just coordinated with the Lao Dong (Labor) Newspaper and provincial Labor Union to visit and donate 100 Tet gifts worth VND500,000 each to 100 needy workers at Di An town-based Binh Duong Industrial Park (photo).

The company has also raised VND200mln for the Lao Dong Newspaper’s Golden Heart Fund to present 400 Tet gifts to poor laborers working at industrial parks in Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ha Noi, Hung Uyen and Bac Giang.

This is one of activities annually done by the company through Prudence Foundation. The company has visited and presented Tet gifts to the poor and policy beneficiaries in localities nationwide with a total expense of nearly VND1bln.

*Early February 12, Bau Bang district’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee held two delegations to visit and give Tet gifts for the local religious dignitaries on the occasion of the 2015 Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

In each visiting place, the delegations extended best regards to religious dignitaries and followers while bracing up them to live with the motto of “good life and good religion”, positively contributing to strengthening the national great unity bloc.

The local religious dignitaries also expressed their gratitude for the attention of the local Party and government; promised that they together with followers would well realize the Party and State’s policies and actively take part in the local movements.
