Lai Thieu was long named as the land of long-term pottery kilns where pottery beauty lovers have been seeking for valuable products to uphold traditional culture. Thuan An Town Club of Antique was founded for researchers and artists to discover and collect pottery art items.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuc, the club director, talked about pottery love and the establishment of the club in 2012. Currently, in Binh Duong Province the club is unique with 30 active members seeking for collection of pottery.

Ever since its establishment, the club has joined various exhibition including the exchange with Southern Region Association of Pottery, An Giang Provincial Ornament Animal and Plant Society, Binh Duong Museum, Lai Thieu Festival of Ripe Fruits, Mekong Delta provinces of Tien Giang, Ca Mau, and An Giang. The club also sponsored exhibition of Southern Region pottery.

Mr. Le Quang Hao, member of Ho Chi Minh City Association of Pottery talked of Thuan An Town Club of Antique as an agent for pottery lovers to gather and exchange exhibition of items left behind by precedent generations.

Thuan An Town Club of Antique currently retain about 200 ancient pottery items of long-term value. The artists are yearning for more antique items to add up the treasury. Mr. Huynh Ngoc Trang, formerly working for Institution of Culture and Arts of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Ho Chi Minh City, and researcher of antique items, on his visit to the club said that more and more pottery lovers have been joining the club for its advantages of history and Lai Thieu pottery.

Aside from seeking and retaining valuable traditional items, Thuan An Town Club of Antique also holds fundraising activities through auction of the items to finance its operations and charity drives.
