Thuan An kicks off open Karate champs

Early April 21, Vinh Phu ward in Thuan An town kicked off the first open Karate Championship 2019.

This year’s tournament absorbs more than 200 male and female martial artists in the age groups of 7, 11, 12 and 15 from 14 units. They will compete in events: performance and combating in the men and women’s weigh categories from 28kg to 50kg.

The tournament aims to promote the local sports movement and encourage locals to take physical exercises following the example of great Uncle Ho. This is also a chance for town-based Karate clubs to exchange and share experience in competition for better development.
