Along with industrial production, commerce - service sectors in Binh Duong eyes good changes in industries serving manufacturing, urban development, education and training. Over the first 6 months of 2021, despite many difficulties and challenges caused by the Covid-19, provincial trade - service industries proved its stability. Total retail sales of goods and services were estimated at 131,672 billion VND, up 10.4% over the same period last year. Export turnover was estimated at more than 17 billion USD, up 47.2% over the same period in 2020; import turnover was estimated at 13.3 billion USD, up 43.4%; trade surplus of 3.75 billion USD.

Currently, Binh Duong is making efforts to accelerate e-government, implement many new models and technologies, and create favorable conditions, support and encourage businesses and organizations in the province to go digitalization, apply IT, improving knowledge, developing smart factories… Binh Duong has 3 affiliated cities with high-quality commercial and service development orientations; these cities have strongly attracted the entire society's resources for the construction and development of increasingly civilized and modern urban areas. In particular, it is the strong development of service industries that has created the connection and strengthen trust of investors in these localities.

In the past 5 years, total retail sales of consumer goods and services increased by an average of 17.95%/year, of which total retail sales of goods increased by an average of 15.81%/year. Trade - service infrastructure system is invested and upgraded; develop many types of distribution with the participation of major domestic and foreign brands. Exports increased by an average of 9.31%/year. The export market is constantly expanding.
