Vietnam, Japan strengthen cooperation

Vietnam-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group President and CPV Central Committee Secretary To Huy Rua issued the affirmation at a Hanoi reception for Japanese Liberal Democratic Party Secretary General and Special Advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Takebe Tsutomu on November 14.

Mr Rua thanked his visitor for his proactive contributions to the friendship enjoyed by the two countries’ political parties, legislatures, and peoples.

Rua noted the recent official exchanges marking the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Year and celebrating 2013’s 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties.

Mr Takebe Tsutomu thanked Vietnamese officials for their warm welcome and committed his utmost focus to expanding cooperation in training high quality human resources via the planned future founding of the Japan-Vietnam University.

He pledged to push Vietnamese-Japanese relations towards a strategic partnership that will sustain peace and prosperity in Asia.
