Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai concluded a week-long working visit to Russia on October 3.The visit was made on the occasion of the Rusvietpetro joint venture company’s reception of first oil pumped from the Northern Hosedayusk oil field in Russia's Nenetsky Autonomous Okrug Region.
Addressing the ceremony in Nenetsky Autonomous Okrug Region, Deputy PM Hai praised the significance of oil exploitation at the Northern Hosedayusk oil field.
He affirmed that oil and gas cooperation between the two countries has been carried out effectively, helping expand cooperation in new forms, contributing to boosting the strategic cooperation between the two countries.
During his stay in Russia, Deputy PM Hai had working sessions with officials of the Energy Ministry of Russia, the Overseas Oil company and authorities of the Nenetsky Autonomous Okrug Region. He met with staffs of the Rusvietpetro, a joint venture between the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) and Zarubezhneft Joint Stock Co.
On behalf of the government, he handed over the Friendship Order to the Rusvietpetro and its General Director in recognition of their contributions to boosting the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.
Earlier, the Vietnamese Deputy PM visited and worked with TNK-BP Oil Group of Russia and witnessed the signing of a contract, under which TNK-BP will provide crude oil to Vietnam’s Dung Quat oil refinery.
Deputy PM Hai had a working session with the General Director of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) on cooperation in building a nuclear power plant in Vietnam and visited the Balakovskaya nuclear power plant in Saratov province.
