Over 100 new sub-unions for workers at lodging facilities established

Early December 25, provincial Steering Committee of the Project on “Uniting and mobilizing young workers for the 2021-2025 period” held a conference to review its implementation in 2024. Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commision and Head of the Project’s Steering Committee, attended and directed the conference.

In 2024, the Steering Committees and Organizing Committees at all levels collaborated to organize and integrate various programs and activities, including “Weekend playground” competitions, cultural performances, festivals, gift-giving events and assistance for disadvantaged young workers living away from home. Other notable efforts included awarding “dream rooms”, establishing “Model Youth lodging failities” and organizing activities to care for the children of workers at lodging facilities… to support young workers.

In 2024, the province established 102 new sub-unions for workers at lodging facilities, 5 Youth Union branches in non-state enterprises and 18 association branches for non-State enterprises. Additionally, 28 young workers were recommended for consideration and admission into the Party.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nhan urged the organization committees at all levels to focus on providing guidance and creating favorable conditions for member agencies and units to achieve the set targets. He also called for continued contributions to drafting the project for the next phase and strengthening the project’s team of personnel. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between the organizing committees and relevant departments, agencies and sectors to implement the project effectively, with particular attention to Party development among young workers.
