Defence cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore should be reinforced in the coming time, in line with their bilateral socio-economic ties.
The consensus was reached during a meeting between Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieut. Gen. Tran Quang Khue and visiting Assistant Chief of General Staff of the Singaporean Infantry Force Col. Wong Yue Han in Hanoi on August 13.
During the talks, the two sides highly valued the fruitful defence cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore over the past time.
They agreed to increase the exchange of delegations at all levels and cooperation in training English language for staff.
The Singaporean side also pledged to share its experience and create conditions for the Vietnam People’s Army to join the United Nations Peacekeeping Force.
