Vietnam wins another gold at Asian Wushu Championships

Martial artist Nguyen Thanh Tung took home the second gold medal for Vietnam at the ongoing Asian Wushu Championships at Phu Tho Gymnasium in Ho Chi Minh City.

Tung topped the men's taijiquan (supreme ultimate fist) event with 9.61 points, beating Chinese Macau’s Lao Chon In and Weet Wee Key from Singapore.

Pham Quoc Khanh pocketed a silver medal in the men’s nangun event after being defeated by Kim Tae-ho from the Republic of Korea.

Tran Thi Minh Huyen also bagged a bronze in the women’s taijiquan event.

After four days of competition, China is leading the taolu event with 11 gold medals, followed by Vietnam with two golds, five silvers and two bronzes.
