The Army Telecommunications Group (Viettel) will become the exclusive distributor of Apple phones in Vietnam in the next two months.

Viettel’s Deputy General Director Nguyen Manh Hung reported that his group is fulfilling final procedures to import iPhone this March 2010. He didn’t disclose the price and sale policy.

Viettel is also the only distributor of RIM BlackBerry handhelds in Vietnam.

iPhone is among the most favourite smart phones in Vietnam, but the official products may not sell well because users can easily purchase iPhone via other channels at softer prices.
