Volunteer hallmarks on Phu Quy island

From June 30 to July 7, Binh Duong’s 25-member volunteer youth squad were present in Phu Quy district island in the central province of Binh Thuan to carry out such volunteer activities as building clean water containers for Trieu Duong primary school; presenting 60 benches and installing 5 wastebaskets on main streets; awarding 20 scholarships worth VND10million to pupils with difficult circumstances; cleaning up beaches, making propaganda on environmental protection; providing free medical check-ups and medicines for locals…

 On July 2, provincial Young Physicians’ Association provided free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for more than 130 elderly people in Phu Quy island district’s Tam Thanh commune.

The volunteer youth squad also organized a festive day “Guiding how to wash hands by soap” for the local children. They were also presented over 70 gifts from donors.

   An art exchange program between Binh Duong and Phu Quy island district’s youth absorbed hundreds of the local youth and people.

The squad and Phu Quy Electricity’s Youth Union carried out a ‘Lighting up rural road” youth work with 20 light bulbs installed.
