Under is project, Vietnam – Korea Vocational Junior College in Binh Duong Province shall supply 1,500 trainees of elementary to intermediate technical and professional skills to the labor market. The development complies with development progress of the province, contributing to job creation and labor exportation.Theories and practiceOn the foundation of combining Vietnam-Korea Vocational School and Thu Dau Mot Vocational School and under management of Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam – Korea Vocational Junior College in Binh Duong Province is offering training courses of enterprise accounting, small and medium enterprise management, computer repair techniques, computer network administration, civil electricity, and 6 major fields of industrial electricity, industrial electronics, cooling industry, welding, metal cutting, electro-mechanics, car industry. The trainees are practicing electronic repairs on computers Talking to us, Mr. Le Cong Tam, Secretary of the School Party Committee hub, informed that the school has opened 11 labs for all subjects with a staff of improving qualifications.Of the 57-people staff, 36 are instructors including 1 doctorate trainee, 13 M.A’s, 7 postgraduate instructors, and 15 graduate instructors.With current facilities, in 5 years, the school has trained 1,107 trainees with additional 108 ones in 2013 and 70 ones of elementary vocational qualifications.In the training course, graduated trainees have found their jobs in companies across localities. By promoting the movement of good instruction and learning, scientific researches, and teaching aids creation, the instruction staff has greatly contributed to the training course in the new stage.Development holds the keyTalking to us, Mr. Tam additionally informed that the school is being upgraded into international Vocational College to be funded by Korean ODA into Vietnam of about USD 6 million and local budget of nearly VND 16 billion. Accordingly, the college shall offer 3-level training of vocational college, junior college, and elementary vocational school together with joint programs to other institutions to satisfy the needs of industrial development of Binh Duong Province and Eastern South of the nation.Accordingly, the college shall open specialized training courses as well as contests to improve skills and profession for cadres, officers, union members, and employees to enterprises in accordance with demands.The college shall cooperate with organizations of training and consultancy within the nation and in foreign nations to improve knowledge of science and technology among trainees to meet demands of enterprises and others.If needed, cooperation with other provinces shall be made to improve capacities and abilities of accessing training; to give job consultancy and introduction in labor exporting contracts.Particularly, Mr. Tam informed that in 2014, the college shall admit 600 trainees allocated in junior vocational college, elementary vocational schools and national certification of computer science.The establishment of Vietnam – Korea Vocational Junior College shall improve vocational training capacities of the province and neighboring regions while opening up opportunities for junior and senior high school graduates to acquire jobs once they fail to follow academic pathways to colleges and universities.Reported by Kim Ha – Translated by Vi Bao
