Int’l cycling tournament kicks off

The second stage of the third VTV International Cycling Tournament- Ton Hoa Sen Cup 2018 from Ha Noi capital to Thanh Hoa city took place yesterday morning, September 3.

Prior to that, David Van Eard of Global Cycling Team from the Netherlands won the first stage with total time of 1:4:4 and average speed of more than 47km/hour. Nguyen Thanh Tam of Loc Troi An Giang and Im Jaeyeon of Korail Cycle ranked second and third, respectively.

This year’s tournament is organized by VTV, the Viet Nam Cycling and Motor Sports Federation and Hoa Sen Group, absorbing 84 cyclists from 6 domestic cycling teams and 6 foreign cycling ones in South Korea, the Netherlands, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Laos. They will compete over 14 stages covering 1,843km from Ha Noi to central and highlands provinces before finishing in HCM city on September 16.
