The 2012 Binh Duong petanque championships yesterday opened at provincial Sports and Physical Training Center.

This year’s tournament has absorbed more than 60 athletes (including 24 female ones) from 10 units with the strongest petanque movement of the province. These athletes will compete for 4 sets of gold medals in the events: men’s single, women’s single, men’s trio and women’s trio.

 

Dau Tieng and Dau Tieng Rubber Corp., Phu Giao and Ben Cat are bright candidates for the championship title at the tournament.
