Oct. 9, the 2013 Southeastern Karatedo Championship kicked off at the provincial Center for Sport and Gymnastics. Attending the event were as many as 63 athletes (27 women) coming from the Southeastern provinces and cities such as Dong Na, Tay Ninh, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc and the host team Binh Duong.

This year’s championship will include 19 sets of medals for kumite category with 9 weight classes for men, 8 for women and 2 team events.

In the recent championships, the host Binh Duong has taken the lead, so the delegation’s goal is to protect its champion.

The tournament will end on Oct. 13 ahead.
