2016 provincial Volleyball Championship kicks off

The 2016 provincial Volleyball Championship was opened yesterday at provincial Physical Training-Sports Center. This year’s tounament gathered 9 female teams from Thu Dau Mot City, towns of Thuan An, Tan Uyen, Di An, districts of Phu Giao North Tan Uyen, provincial Medical College, Thu Dau Mot University, Dau Tieng Rubber Corporation together with 6 male teams from Thu Dau Mot City, districts of Bau Bang, Dau Tieng, Ben Cat town, Dau Tieng Rubber Corporation and Thuan An town.

As regulated, 9 female teams will be divided into three groups of playing a round-robin format to  select each group’s 3 first teams and 1 team with the best qualifying performance in qualifying round for competition in the semi-finals and the final match. For the men's category, participating teams will be divided into 2 groups of play in a round-robin format to sort out  each group’s 2 first teams for the semifinals and finals. The competition will conclude on April 24 ahead.
