21 units attend Phu Giao’s table tennis, badminton champs

To celebrate the 71^st founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (Dec.22) and further respond to the campaign of “All people take physical exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho”, Phu Giao district’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports has just kicked off the 2015 table tennis and badminton championships, attracting 21 units with more than 100 athletes.

Participating athletes competed in events: the men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles for both table tennis and badminton. Finally, the organizers awarded first, second and third prizes to excellent athletes in each event of the two sports.

The event aimed to create an useful playgrounds for locals. This was also a chance for the locality to sort out outstanding athletes for tournaments in the province and region.
