23 local farms supported for VietGAP application

Under provincial People’s Committee’s Decision No.11/2014/QD-UBND on support policies for Vietnamese Good Agricultural Practices (VietGap) application, provincial Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Sub-department last year gave financial support of VND260million for 6 cultivation and animal husbandry farms in Ben Cat town, 2 districts of Phu Giao and Bau Bang. It is expected to support costs for VietGap certification for 17 cultivation and animal husbandry farms this year. Currently, the province has a total of 41 cultivation and animal husbandry farms certified for VietGap quality.

The Sub-department also organized 6 training courses on VietGap process for producers and managerial officials who registered to realize production models under VietGap standards; guided them how to make records on materials, production processes, harvest and set up processes in production…for VietGap facilities.
