Nearly VND 132 trillion allocated for public investment in 2026-2030 period

On the afternoon of December 17, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Committee chaired the 79th session of provincial People’s Committee. The meeting was also attended by Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders from various departments, sectors and localities​​​.

The session reviewed and approved 17 key contents in many aspects. Notably, it discussed the draft plan for the 2026-2030 State financial and budget framework, aiming at building a sustainable and modernized province while fostering development linkages with other localities in the Southeastern region. Under the proposed plan, the retention rate for local State budget revenue during the 2026-2030 period is expected to be 33%, with the average economic growth of about 13%-14% per year. The province aims at achieving VND 519.629 trillion in State budget revenue for the period of 2026-2030, marking a 49% increase compared to the 2021-2025 period, with the average annual revenue growth of 14.2%​​​.

To prioritize investment for development, Binh Duong province plans to reduce recurrent expenditures while focusing spending on healthcare, education, welfare, social welfare and national defense-security…The total local State budget expenditure for the 2026-2030 period is expected at VND 242.637 trillion. The province's demand for capital investment in infrastructure during this period is substantial, with public investment estimated at VND 131.944 trillion. Of the total figure, VND 73.650 trillion is expected to be balanced from the local State budget while the province has proposed additional VND 58.294 trillion from the Government to supplement the local State budget for targeted programs​​​.

Concluding the meeting, Mr.Minh basically agreed with the draft proposals presented at the session. He also emphasized the need to review and supplement opinions on certain draft proposals to finalize and approve them promptly​​​.
