Reference exchange rate slightly rises on December 12

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,259 VND/USD on December 12, up 6 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,472 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,046 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates also saw increases.

At 8:31 am, Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,171 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,471 VND/USD, both up 6 VND from December 11./.
