Removing obstacles in site clearance for important electricity projects

On the afternoon of December 10, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting with leaders of the Southern Power Corporation, Binh Duong Power Company, the Department of Industry and Trade, and leaders of several localities that still face difficulties and obstacles in the site clearance work for electricity projects.

At the working session, representatives from Binh Duong Power Company stated that the progress of projects is mainly delayed due to obstacles related to the agreements and compensation for site clearance, including 7 key power projects in the province.

The Southern Power Corporation and Binh Duong Power Company recommend that the provincial leadership and specialized units focus on supporting and guiding the districts, cities, and related units in carrying out the task of land valuation for compensation, to soon complete the price certification, approve land prices for the project, finalize the compensation plan, and promptly pay the affected households, ensuring the timely handover of the construction site.

At the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh requested that departments, sectors, and localities with projects closely coordinate with the electricity sector and investors to quickly complete the site clearance work; what has been discussed must be acted upon and implemented.

The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee stated that for the consulting and surveying work, the province will be ready to assist to ensure accurate surveying, serving the compensation valuation work, and quickly hand over the land for key electricity projects and works in the area.
