Tan Uyen district study promotion society in cooperation with Huynh Thi Chau kindergatern yesterday held the 15th anniversary of Vietnam Study Promotion Day and granted scholarships to talented underprivileged students.

Founded in 2000, Tan Uyen district Study Promotion Society has contributed to the local movement of study and talent promotion. The entire district has so far had 22 study promotion societies across 22 communes, townships and 6 high schools, 34 sub-societies in secondary and primary schools with 2,234 members and 12,050 families recognized as studious families.

Over the past years, the society, local authorities and mass bodies and donors have granted gifts and thousands of scholarships to excellent-but-poor students.

On the occasion, the society offered 43 scholarships, each worth VND400,000-1mil for excellent but poor students at local schools. The total value of scholarships is at VND23,400,000 funded by Vietcombank Binh Duong.
