Early August 16, Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, received and worked with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), led by Charlotte Justine Diokno Sicat, Executive Director of the ADB representing a group of countries including Kazakhstan, Maldives, the Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Timor-Leste.
At the reception, Mr. Danh shared some results of the province's economic and social development over the past time while emphasizing that Binh Duong aims at transition to a green growth model for sustainable development. Therefore, in the local development plan, the province has allocated significant resources to invest in smart infrastructure, particularly focusing on high-quality human resource training and smart personnel at the requirements for developing Binh Duong into a smart city. The province is focusing on building and developing digital economy, circular economy, green economy, encouraging the use of renewable energy sources and clean energy to participate in the production process following general trends such as rooftop solar power, biomass power, power from waste....
Mrs. Charlotte Justine Diokno Sicat expressed her admiration for Binh Duong's rapid development achievements and spoke highly of the cooperation results between ADB and projects implemented by Biwase related to environmental treatment, waste management, especially the development of clean renewable energy from biomass and waste.
Biwase's successful story is a typical example of innovation and development of the province in general and Vietnam in particular. Along with economic development, the province also pays attention to social welfare, especially environmental protection associated with sustainable development goals.
