Anti-HIV/AIDS forum for street kids held

Thuan An district Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Youth Union yesterday co-held a forum themed “Children and HIV/AIDS prevention” with the participation of about 200 local street kids.

At the forum, delegates heard about street kids and parents’ aspiration on HIV/AIDS control. Nguyen Thi Kim Thu, head of the division, said Lai Thieu township and Thuan Giao commune have set up 7 clubs of “Children and HIV/AIDS control” with the attendance of 210 street kids.

Through the clubs, the children learn about HIV/AIDS prevention and combat. On the occasion, the division granted 200 gifts to the kids and honored workgroups and individuals for their excellent achievements in this work.
