Located in the southern key economic zone, Binh Duong now owns many favorable conditions for economic development, especially industrial manufacture. The province has so far absorbed more and more auxiliary industrial projects. Under the Project on adjustment of development planning for industrial parks to 2020 approved by the Prime Minister, the province will have 33 industrial parks with 14,790 hectares. The province has to date also lured nearly 2,300 enterprises in auxiliary industries, including 442 on garment-textile, 172 on footwear, 593 on woodwork processing and 710 on mechanism…
Production of a factory making shoes for export
In order to promote auxiliary industries, the province has formed up an industrial park in Bau Bang district with more than 1,000 hectares, giving priority to attracting investment capital into auxiliary industries. The industrial park has so far drawn many projects on auxiliary industries from the world’s huge corporations. Among them, Kolon Group (South Korea)’s factory manufacturing airbags and industrial fabric for automobile tires has a total investment of US$1billion. The first phase, with a total investment capital of US$220 million, will be disbursed in the 2017-2018 period, the second phase will last until 2026 with US$600 million. Or, Tetra Park Binh Duong Joint Stock Company (Singapore)’s aseptic carton packaging material factory has a total registered capital of US$124million in VSIP II-A…
Binh Duong is among the country’s top five localities in auxiliary industries. With achievements done, the province is likely to become a highlight of the whole country in attracting and developing auxiliary industries. In late 2019, the province approved a project on increasing the localization rate of products, technological capacity and management effectiveness in some main export industries to 2025 and orientations to 2030. Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that developing auxiliary industries is an indispensable way, not only serving industrial manufacture of the province, the whole country, but also taking part in the global value chains, thereby creating a momentum for the local industrial manufacture to speed up and reach sustainable development.
“For the local industrial manufacture gaining sustainable and in-depth development, the province has actively supported enterprises to foster auxiliary industries, helping increase the value of industrial products manufactured by domestic enterprises. In the coming time, the province will continue giving priority to fostering industries with high added values, gradually increasing the localization rate of products”, Mr.Dung added.
