Ben Cat town Women’s Union gives 20 sewing machines to poor women

Afternoon 22^nd Jan, Ben Cat town Women’s Union offered 20 sewing machines to poor women in the town (photo).

In recent years, the organization have taken good care of material and spiritual life of local poor women, created conditions, supported disadvantaged women to better their living. Annually, the organization cooperated with competent authorities to open vocational classes for women; granted loans to 1,900 women with total value of VND9 billion; encouraged 284 well-off members to support poor ones through many forms with total value of over VND1.3 billion; mobilized benefactors’ contributions to build 4 compassionate houses, visited poor, ill female members; established 82 saving groups, increasing saving model number by 374 groups with over 10,800 members.

In the future, the union will continue to mobilize supports, contributions for poor women in the town to develop family economy sustainably.
