Binh Duong Customs Department intensify anti-smuggling, anti-tax losses

In the first nine months of 2018, Binh Duong Customs Department handled 647 trade offences. Most violations were incorrect declarations of time limit for customs procedures, codes and quality... The department fined over VND10 billion, collected total arrear of over VND39 billion.

According to Binh Duong Customs Department, in order to effectively combat smuggling and tax loss, from the beginning of 2018, the department developed plans to implement solutions to tax loss prevention, smuggling and trade frauds in the area. To realize this plan, the department carried out many internal checks to collect the full amount of tax arrears; organized many trainings and seminars on price, HS codes, C/O, tax finalization, post-clearance inspection. The department also applied the screening of goods by container scanners to improve the skills of checking, detecting violations, fighting against commercial frauds, ensuring the full collection of tax payable...
