Binh Duong prioritizes attracting investment in high-tech industries

On August 15, Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, worked with a delegation of Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE) led by Le Nguyen Minh Quang, General Director of REE. Leaders of departments and competent agencies in the province attended the meeting.

At the reception, Mr. Minh emphasized that Binh Duong prioritizes attracting investment in high-tech industries, semiconductor chips, green energy, green economy, circular economy, and high-tech, advanced, environmentally friendly sectors that are less labor-intensive and create high-added value. Binh Duong especially welcomes investors in fields of financial services, logistics, supporting industries, high-tech agriculture, etc. Binh Duong is diversifying investment resources, especially prioritizing multinational corporations with high technology.

Mr. Quang said that after converting from a state-owned enterprise to a joint stock enterprise in 1993, REE has made great strides thanks to investment cooperation with Jardine Cycle & Carriage (UK). REE operates in fields of energy, water and environment, real estate, and M&E (mechanical and electrical) services. In Binh Duong, REE wishes to make investments in energy development, refrigeration, and office leasing.

The departments and branches said they would support REE in exploring investment cooperation opportunities and implementing procedures in accordance with regulations to support investors.
