Binh Duong to attend 25th Mekong Delta cycling tournament

Early August 13, the 25^th Mekong Delta cycling tournament -“Gao Hat Ngoc Troi” cup 2016 under the theme of “Joining hands with farmers in environmental protection” will kick off in Phu Quoc island district in the southern Kien Giang province.

Co-held by Kien Giang province’s Department of Culture and Sports and Vietnam Sports Bicycle-Motorbike Federation, this year’s tournament is expected to absorb 75 cyclists from 15 strong cycling clubs nationwide.

Cyclists will compete in a 1,043km nine-stage race through 13 cities and provinces in the Mekong Delta region.

The event is part of sport activities in response of the National Tourism Year 2016 and in celebration of the 71^st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945-August 19, 2016) and National Day (September 2, 1945-September 2, 2016).
